He was tired, but he continued to walk through the tunnels, through the subway. He was trying to get familiar with the area, maybe find a place to permanently stay. But every corner or turn was infested with rats, bugs, sewage water, trash. Even the walls and ceiling seemed to on the verge of caving in, ready to collapse at any moment. This wasn't good for someone as big as him. If Spike were to crouch or duck under the wrong place, he could find himself crushed under layers of wood and rock.
He chosed to take refuge in the underground due to the lack of people. The city above was just to crowded, with people on every street to run and scream when he approached. Down here things were quite. Down here he can be alone.
Gritty and soot covered, Spike paused to run his claws through his head, freeing his horns from the cobwebs and whatever else was caught up there. Damn, he sure could use a bath right now. To bad the water was down right nasty. And how was he suppose to gather food? It's not like people drop freshly made boxes of pizza down here. Just thinking of food made Spike grunt with hunger. He shifted around, looking, but not exactly sure what he was looking for.
Food, food.
No. There wasn't any food, but a faint light did catch his eye.
