Maddie's Artful Spot

You all knew it was a matter of time before I put in here XD

A preview of a series of 'emotes' I'm working on for Maddie... just 'coz. Working on an edited base with a bunch of mouth/mandible/eye/feeler/expression effects options so I can mix/match to get different faces. Kinda inspired by the character emotes in some RPG's during dialogue scenes.

So far I have the head, 5 eyebrow options, seven eye options (each with 10 individual pupil positions so she can 'look around'), 24 mouth expressions, 3 mandible positions, 3 feeler positions, and 7 "special effects" (blushing, shock, sweat drops ect) ... and that's just what I can think of at the moment XD I'll probably add more as I feel I need them or I think of other faces I wanna make.



Just a small sampling, made these in a minute or two of playing with settings and layers.

Now I just need to shade all these little bits and bobs oh my *sobsob*

I surprised myself and actually got ALL the parts shaded today. Unfortunately no time to make a bunch of expressions left XD here's a few I made before bed though.


Upped the size from 100x100 to 160x160 so some of the smaller/subtler expressions were more visible. Already thinking of more 'FX' to add, small sound effects, ect.

I think I have a problem.

Semi-related since it involves my char which I use (intend to use?) here. I think I made a new friend on DA for the first time in like... forever... who also happens to have an insect TMNT-based OC with a serious sugar weakness.

So naturally that means I had to draw them fighting over a candy bar. Maddie in the presence of sugar, a great excuse to write/portray her some way other than a timid stuttering sad-sack. X3

I'd like to finish this someday but lets face it... I have no idea when that'll happen so have a crappy sketch instead.

Small scribble for the night. It occurred to me randomly today that if Maddie ever meets/interacts with Raph... this will probably be his experience of her.

Yaup... Wanted to paint this all pretty and stuff but don't have time so gonna put up the cleaned up lines instead.

I felt like drawing Maddie drunk because... because. Playing around with her character outside of her rather well established sad-sac persona.
She'd probably be a minx-y little drunk.

UGH I MISS YOU GAIS. I HATE THIS SCHEDULE I'M ON IT LEAVES ME ALMOST ZERO TIME TO THINK.

Yaaay government office vent art! Also venting having no time to pursue things like... RP. Not that I have many going on.
