Love pouted at that. She could fight if something was down there. and wouldn't it be good for her to know what was there? Then again...Don could just be using that as an excuse for her not to join along. That was upsetting.

Fine. But don't make me wait long like last time.

"We'll come back for you, I promise. Scout's honor." Mikey looked over his brother's shoulder,"Lets get goin'."

The tone Love used felt like a stab to the gut. He already felt guilty for having to make her wait as long as he did. So, he would make sure the wait was only just a fraction of that. "It won't be, I promise." Then he gave her a small smile then turned to his brother.

"We'll be back as soon as we can," he told Love without turning around. Then he headed out with his brother who seemed all too anxious to leave. Was Mikey having second thoughts about helping her now? Don tried to keep the self-doubt out of his mind as he wandered down the street to the nearest manhole.

Mikey turned to follow Don down the street, looking for the nearest manhole they can find,"You don't think there are real alligators down in the sewers, do you, Donnie?"

Don looked at Mikey and shook his head.  "Although anything is possible, Mikey, I really don't think so."  Finally they reached the manhole and he lifted the cover and slid it over, allowing Mikey to go first.

Just before Don could climb down, he heard his phone ring.  He reached into his belt and pulled it out, checking the caller ID.  "It's Leo," Don told his brother as he tucked the phone between his shoulder and cheek after answering and started descending the ladder.

"Hello?"

Hey, Don. Raph ran out yelling about how no one is listening to him so we have to find him before he hurts someone or gets into trouble. I also want to have a talk with everyone soon. So if you guys are done with Love I need you to look for Raph with me, call if you find him.

Don listened to what Leo said, feeling like once again, something else has gotten in the way while taking care of Love. He wished Leo had called about five minutes earlier when they were still with her so he could tell her there was yet another delay. He really needed to get her a phone...

Sighing heavily, he glanced at Mikey with a disappointed look. "Alright, Leo. We're in the sewers right now. Should we set up a meeting place for you?"

Mikey's shoulders sagged. He was really looking forward to this adventure. Imagine, meeting an alligator in the sewers! And Leo was putting a stop to their adventuring just because he wanted to call in a meeting? Mikey groaned. If Leo was calling them that means Raph did something really stupid this time.

"I really hope that wasn't about Raph." Mikey harrumphed.

"Wait..."  Did he hear him right?  They were just supposed to look for Raph in this whole city with no leads?  Talk about the proverbial needle in a haystack metaphor...  He looked at Mikey again, sighing heavily once more and nodded in response.  "Have you searched for him at all?  If so, where?  And what about...calling him?"  That would be the easiest way to find him; provided Raph would answer.

"Alright, Leo. We'll you there. Bye." Then he hung up and looked at Mike. "We're meeting Leo at Ping's restaurant." At least it was a lead. But, still it was majorly frustrating that Don's own plans had to be put on-hold again. He just had to remember that his family came before anyone else. But he had to somehow keep his promise to Love. It was a good thing they didn't have her come along, because nothing would have been accomplished, anyway.

"Let's go, Mikey." His tone held his frustration and disappointment, so he didn't think he needed to explain himself to his brother as they headed toward their rendezvous place.

Mikey shook his head. Sometimes he can't understand Raph. Raph always blow everything out of proportion. Now he has to go find him? Something tells him that Raph couldn't take being leader and decided to bail out. No doubt he is hanging out with that chick he met the other night, Mikko. He reminded himself to tease him mercilessly once they find him.
