New Mutant (Tags Raph and anyone else?)

His thick tail dragged on the cold slippery sewer floor, being lead more by his snout than any real ability to be able to see into the dark.

He large snout has scent the blood trail and -

He pondered for some seconds why it had a extra scent to the usual coppery smell. Maybe mutagen - it was something familiar to the giant gator. He stopped at corners where the trail lead - sniffing.

And listening, feeling the dark.

Something was ahead.

He shuffles forward lifting his tail so it no longer dragged.

He rumbled in his throat - something that would be felt not heard. Trying to get a sense of what could be ahead of him. Upon his back his best friend hung on silent as he had tol her, but her scent could still be a give away he may have to leave her in the darkness and proceed first. And that was what the rumble was for he lowers his massive shoulders to let her down.

Feeling them slow and her friend lower himself, the rumbling vibration under her body Erica got the message - she nods and slips from his back to the ground - unsure and steady int he inky dark her very human eyes had no hope of penetrating to see beyond.

They had followed the trail -

Maybe some one they could help?

Maybe not?

She waits - not scared of the dark.

She trusted even as he would leave her to go ahead she was for the moment safe and would refrain from shifting about of talking or playing with her phone for light just encase whomever they were approaching would see it or hear her.

She would let Leatherhead move closer.

Being in the sewer wasn't new to her...well not at least now anyway. It was common for Tara to be down here, either meeting up with her friends or just to be lazy.

This day she was being lazy had some new cheeto flavor's for a certain gator that she seemed to take a 'personal' liking too...and hoped he be up to a visit today. Making her way through the sewer's, she heard movement in front of her, and formed a small fireball just in case.

Coming closer she saw Erica, and whistle softly to signal she was here while getting rid of the fireball. Looking onward she saw the tail end of LeatherHead and made a motion of what was going on.

Leatherhead heard the snort and offered a chuff like grunt of his own back - a noise in his throat, low and entreating, he was not a thre-

but that thought and sentiment slid a bit as he then heard the charge and a rumble in his wide chest filled the space, he had scented smoke, Tara ....

So he rushed forward to met the charge - coming up against plastron and wide as his body!

Hopefully the instinctive sides would back off a bit and let them talk - but for the moment Leatherhead was all gator defending the two females behind him.

In the dark a whistle might have been a scary thing, but Erica smiled, there was the faint whiff of 'smoke' even though the fire Tara made rarely generated any, it was just a lingering smell. "Hey." she whispers hearing beyond the charging of two heavy mutant forms. "New mutant." She answers Tara stepping back a little around the edge of a sewer wall so the two big mutants can sort it out. "We've been tailing a blood tail it left. Might be hurt. But Leatherhead's gone first to greet it just encase far too big and dangerous for us." She explains further just waiting with Tara in the cool damp dark.

Tara listened to Erica as she explained what was going on, and peeked the corner to see LH and some random mutant there. It seemed his gator instincts took over and Tara came back around prating LH will be OK.

Love was down in the sewer tunnels hunting rats when she heard all the commotion. People! Maybe new friends...maybe a boooyfriend?

She gave up her hunt on the rodents and made her way to the sound of voices. using her sense of smell was pointless down there, all she could smell was sewer and it wasn't that nice of a smell. But she soon came up behind a woman. Silently she snuck closer to Erica and when she was real close to the human Love spoke up.
