Karaoke night

April chuckled and watched Casey go to mingle, missing already his arms but also enjoying the resumed singing by some guy she was sure was called Las - with a bare chest.

She blinks and looks up at Leatherhead as he and Shaya spoke - absorbing what he was saying. "your kidding fertilization is possible? and development to a blastocystic state?" She was amazed - what this could mean for her bros as much as the big gator. She smiles at Shaya.

Tiphanny took Don's hands and led him to the middle of the floor. Laz wasn't singing the best song to dance to, but it would do. She wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his chest. She then lead him into a dance.

Don didn't really care what song was playing nor who was singing it at the moment.  Heck, it could have been Mikey and it wouldn't have mattered to him.  Don's full focus was on the pretty girl with her head on his shoulder as he slowly danced with her.  He closed his eyes and felt her movements as the two of them glided across the floor.  Occasionally Don would watch their feet to make sure he didn't step on hers by accident.

She blinks in awe frozen in her minds rationalizing the information given. Shaya's hands fiddling to indicate she was still in her head puzzling out his comment. Twisting her fake pearls on an elastic pulled over her thumb and under her pointer finger. 

Her shoulder straighten as she beams at him, "That is fantastic. This step  to implant the blastocysts so see if development continues could be the fundamentals of a real process. Understanding of the genetic diversity  from in each mutant reactions can better the possibility of impregnation without intervening!" 
She shakes her head smiling looking at April's contagious excitement. Looking back up at him, "You brilliant man! You have any idea how much I want bail this party to work on this. Heck, It's not even close to my own field of work but I could study up to help the guys further along!"

And Leatherhead could not have beamed his big gator grin any wider or brighter -

"I too would be alright with sneaking away and showing you the research I have done so far, the sketches I have on the blastocysts I have created. I even have those frozen on slides if you wish to see." He adds chuckling and pleased both women - more so Shaya - found this as fascinating a subject as he did.

He had not brought up this research with his new friends. Or specifically with Donatello, whom since meeting had been another share buddy for geeking out, but he was sure one of their comparative physics and theories and engineering coffee all nighters it might come up. "I have no idea if my turtle friends or their father would be interested int his line of mutant biology research, but Erica is fascinated... and I am pleased you Shaya and you too April show interest, aside from the implications of it for all mutant kind that are not mammal based faced with only human or other mutant life long partners if they so choose this could be very important study." He smiles with a nod towards the tall mutant turtle and his dance partner.

"It seems in the case of myself and rat ovum fertlisiation the mutagen itself may act as a bonder in pairing the base pairs between specific nucleobases both in the helix of the newly formed DNA and RNA... though this is conjecture of course but I am certain that is what is going on, a form of mutagenic genetic level splicing."

Lexi watched as Laz took the mic and proceeded to strip out of his shirt, then threw it, which she caught and briefly used to mask her blush and a bad fit of giggles. She then twirled it above her head and 'wolf-whistled' in approval.. and who knows, maybe if she had a few more drinks in her she would have joined him..


...maybe next song. For now she was enjoying the sights and the sound of his voice, feeling oh so lucky that she could call him 'her man'...


Being so close to the table, she could hear faint moans that not even Laz' sexy voice could drown out. Curiosity urged her to have a peek, to see who was having 'fun' under there, she knew such times were sacred, though, judging by the sounds of the girl being pleasured.. she had a pretty good idea who..


Ally. And that meant the criminal of ecstasy was Mikey. Snickering at the thought, Lexi focused her entire attention on her man candy, acting oblivious to the 'table of love'.

It still sucked seeing Erica with Leo. Big brother moved in before he ever had a shot... not that he ever did. Being the most self loathing, Raph always considered himself the most hideous of the four, so why would she pick him? Yeah, Leo was the logical and sensible choice...


When she came closer, the large Turtle managed a grin despite the jealousy he had been forced to swallow down. Of course she wanted to see the injury and if this request had came from anyone else, it wouldn't have been granted to readily, but it was obvious he had a soft spot for the girl. Apparently all of the brothers did. Well, except for Mikey. His little brother was so tunnelvisioned toward that little firecracker Ally.



"Yeah, sure.." Raph agreed and knelt down to give her better access, moving the fabric of his dew rag aside to reveal the thick forming scar. When she asked if there was any discomfort, he shook his head. "Nah.. good as new." He assured. Indeed, it still ached on occasion or if he moved a certain way, but he wasn't one to admit such things...

When Love skipped over, Gabriel instantly covered his nose and mouth, not wanting to be rude but.. not wanting to die either!! It was so much easier with unmutated cats. You could just shoo them away or move without the fear of hurting feelings, but Love was different. Thankfully Eze was quick to react and finally Gabe could breathe..


He gave an apologetic look and wave at Love, then looked at his brother.. "Thanks, man. Didn't know there was gonna be that kinda pussy here.." And he took a long swig of his drink after calming a mad fit of sneezes... this was gonna be one hell of a night...

Once Laz was finished his song he walked back to Lexi.

Was that all you ever dreamed of? He teased. I think gabe should go up there and show is what he's got.

The song was soon over but Tiphanny kept her arms around Don. There would be a new song soon. And there was no reason they had to stop being close to each other.

So, maybe I snag your number. You know so after tonight I can call you, maybe go out sometime, outside the lair.

"bravo!" clapped Splinter before moving forward to take the young persons place to do his very best -

He lets the machine pick randomly a song for him to sing

He shrugs and goes with it!

Don pulled away far enough to look at Tiphanny with a huge smile.  "Really?"  She was asking for his number?  That meant she was really serious about seeing him again.  Or at least calling him.  But he would sure love to see her again.  And a date perhaps?  Tiph was already getting to that suggestion.

"I...I'd lo--" then he was cut off when his father took the stage and turned to watch him.  The song choice for Splinter was indeed a strange one.  And he really didn't do very well.  But it was the effort that counted.  He smiled at his sensei, watching him stumble through the song.

April puzzled.

Then clicked her fingers and points excitedly at Shaya and Leatherhead, then tapping lightly against the big Gators shoulder, "Have you tried returning the blastcysts into a surrogate rat to see if there is implantation? I -" but her thoughts on the matter halted when acdc began playing and ...

Splinter!

She gave over to a small fit of mad giggles watching the mutant rat father figure up there shake his tail and sing if poorly to an odd selection.

That was pretty awesome.

Casey knew the gang would enjoy this place. Their enemies were sharing the same space and no one had died -- yet. The vigilante maintained a watchful eye over everyone to make sure that people who didn't belong were dealt with. Being an ex-bouncer at Torchy's made him wary on instinct. Anyone was loud and rowdy got tossed out like yesterday's news. He glanced over at April's table and noticed them having fun. It caused a small smile to form on his rugged visage.

Suddenly, Splinter decided to have fun with this night. Casey leaned back and lifted a curious brow at what their alleged 'Master' Splinter was currently doing on the stage; it was such an unusual sight. Still, Casey and the gang got at least some amusement out of it. Casey didn't have much of a singing voice so he just stayed back and let their sensei do his thing.

This dive was pretty tame compared the ones he grew up with. Not as much aggression, just groups of friends hanging out and getting shit-faced drunk with even lesser friends. It was just a place to be at night. But deep down, Casey missed the excitement from the older spots he used to frequent. He took pleasure in beating down angry ex-boyfriends and former husbands who would barge in the joint and start making demands and promises they never could keep.

Their ex-wives and what-have-you would always come running to the bouncers for help. Just something about bending a man's fingers back, hearing that sudden 'snap' paired with a curdling scream, that sent Casey Jones into a state of ecstasy. But this place? Hardly any action. Then again, their lives had been riddled with action more times than any of them would care to count so maybe it was for the best. No one seemed to be getting rowdy or rough with anyone so far.

Giving the others a nod, Casey removed himself from the group and made his way towards April. She did look great tonight, as he often did. That didn't do much to soothe the wild beast at heart within this vigilante for he was still an animal around her. He plopped down in the seat beside April and joined the gang once again as he draped his left arm around her. This was what it was all about.

"Havin' fun, babe? Ya look like yer enjoyin' th' Master up there actin' like a cartoon character! Odd song for him... Didn't know Splinter liked metal," Casey stated curiously.

Her own grin grew in answer, the big turtle was more of a scowler or smirker - like her Leo was more of a very serious faced man, so when there was beautiful wide grins she could not help but reciprocate whole heartedly- her eyes had darted briefly back to Leo as she squeezed his hand, then stepped further from his and Angel's side closer to Raphael as he knelt, "Oh thanks!" She chirps cheerily her own movements, a little stiff still, unleashing a fresh wave of her scent, close to reaching ovulation, stronger than usual. And that hand came forward to rest lightly on his shoulder, carefully holding her drink at the same time, the alcohol drink already having given her cheeks a constant pink blush. Her other hands slender finger tips tracing the forming scar listening as he assured there was no pain, that he was as good as new.

Her grin became soft and she meets those unusually topaz hued eyes, hers reflecting knowing warmth, he was not giving her the full truth, but she would not push.

"I am glad to hear it, though if you do feel stiff or achy - remember heat packs will help." She chuckles a little and her fingers lightly 'scratchie scratchie' at that tough skin beneath them - especially light over the forming scar. "thank you, knowing you have made an almost complete recovery is a wonderful as your pretty smile." She compliments preparing to step back to give him space to stand, moving back to Leonardo's side, knees still a little bruised.

Don was a cutie and she was eager to get to spend time with him, away from the others. She knew they couldn't go on a traditional date, but that didn't matter. don was about to answer her when Master Splinter started to sing. It wasn't the song she thought he would pick, and sure was fun watching him up there singing. She let out a giggle.

Your father sure knows how to party.

Love was starting to get bored, but seeing the rat up there singing brought a smile to her face. she then went on the look out for Raph. She sniffed him out and quickly found him. Hopping on his back Love hugged him and licked his cheek.

Don turned his attention back to his date and smiled brightly.  "Yeah."  Then he leaned over and smooched her cheek quickly then held up a finger to her.  "One sec, okay?"  Then he hurried to find something to write down his number with and on.

It only took a few moments before he returned with a piece of paper with his cell number on it, and gave her a shy smile.  "I'd love to," he finished saying what he wanted to earlier, his grin broadening.  He bit his lower lip just slightly as he watched her take the paper from her and he handed her a pen to do the same.

Tiphanny watched as Don ran off, then came back. She took the number then jotted down her number for him. Handing it to him she grinned brightly.

Don took the paper from her then his eyes widened. Did she just...? "Wh-what?" He should have expected something like this to come out of her mouth, but he was still in shock, anyway. This was moving just a little fast for him. Not to mention, his father wouldn't be up on the 'stage' forever and Don didn't want to end up in the Haashi for this kind of thing. That would be so embarrassing!

Still, he knew he had to answer her and he cleared his throat first. "I could show you a few things, I suppose." But it wasn't what she was thinking...at least not yet. Besides, Don couldn't just do that kind of thing where anyone could hear him. He just wasn't that kind of person...

Tiphanny smiled and took his hand. Lead the way. She wasn't looking for sex, they had just met after all, but she wanted to go to his room to get a feel of him, get to know him better, also to get away from the others and talk in quiet.

Maybe we should bring some drinks with us?

April grins, momentarily distracted from the science babble bubble with Leatherhead and Shaya by the return of her lug - whm she winks at grinning with agreement. "yeah not exactly his thing hearing him stumble through it but bravo for having a go and yes I am enjoying watching." she answers in regards to Splinter and his song choice.

She was definitely enjoying this change of pace, a evening of drinks, food and fun.

Don smiled down at their joined hands then looked back at her. "It's this way."  Then he started leading her to his room until she mentioned drinks.  "That's up to you.  I'm fine either way."  Don also wanted to get to know this person better without having to raise his voice to yell out questions and answers because of the extra noise in the lair.

Angel, this is my girlfriend, Erica. Erica, this is Angel the trouble maker. But she's a sweet heart really.

Love was enjoying the attention Angel was giving her, though she did wish for a bit more attention from Raph. She wrapped her tail around Raph's leg and moved it upward., teasing him.

Angel giggles and lightly pinches Leo's cheek before smooching the spot with a big loud 'mwah!' "Girlfriend huh?" She wonders at this letting go of the leading ninja turtle slowly watching the small brunette give him a gaze of dark eyes that held so much more than just a smile as she steps over towards Raphael. And the tall dark girl could not help but be amused by how easily Raph agreed, then knelt so Erica could check him. Awwwws.

It was sweet, and she was glad the young woman cared as much as she did for the green guys.

Then the girl was moving back to Leo's side and Angel moved back a little watching the girls face. Oh! that look she gave Leo was not of a silly girl crush or a hero worship look, the girl loved him!

She chuckles and shakes her head. "It is good to see you Leo, and dang it you've grown too!" She chuckles, smiling at Love's return, seeming to to but keeping an eye on where Donnie moved so she could track him after this meet and greet and go get a welcome home hug from the tall nerdy turtle... whom looked like he had also grown a lot!

leo didn't drink often, it wasn't really allowed in the lair. it wasn't good for a ninja that had enemies to be drunk at any time. you never know what would happen. But with the party and the atmpsphere of everything Leo had a few drinks while Erica mingled. Few would be an understatment. He had finished off the hot sake and was now working on the beer. He had never had beer before and wasn't too fond of it at first. But he was long gone for caring too much about taste.

When splinter started to sing Leo left Erica's side and got in the middle of the room and started to shake a tail feather. He danced to his father's song as bad as it was. Beer in one hand and chip in the other hand. He lifted his arms in the air as he danced like a broken robot.
